Norwich Union) situated in the grounds of the Railway Museum is one of York's newest and most exiting additions to the many attractions that York has to offer. Seen from miles around and beautifully lit at night, the Yorkshire wheel stretches fifty four metres into the cities skyline. In its first year the wheel has seen over thirty two thousand revolutions and is being hailed as a great success at bringing more tourists to this already thriving historic city.

With views over York including the historic York Minster, picturesque Museum gardens and the River Ouse the Yorkshire Wheel has become a must for every visitor. Included in the forty two pods is heating and air conditioning.

Yorkshire Wheel opening times and Admissions (correct as of April 2007, please check with venue for up to date pricing and opening times):

2007 Mon - Sun, 10am-6pm (make sure to get your ticket before 5.15pm)

From 30 June to Sept 2 2007 the wheel stays open up till 8pm (make sure to get your ticket by 7.30)

Adults £6, Children under 12 £4, Under 4 Free.
