All Saints Church
North Street, York, YO1 6JD

The location of the All Saints Church on North Street has been a location of worship for nearly 1100 years and was built over a three hundred year period since the fourteenth century. It houses some of the finest medieval stained glass windows dating back to the fourteenth century in the United Kingdom as well as the church itself which shows craftsmanship to rival and of it contempories. The All Saints Church roof on the southern side was however damaged in 1997 but all the charm of this medieval church has been beautifully restored.

Holy Trinity Church
Goodramgate, York, YO1 7LF

Standing tall off the beaten track, the Holy Trinity Church is located just off Goodramgate down an almost hidden path onl noticalble by the Iron Gates that guard the entrance. Te church dates back to the sixteenth century however a church has stood here since the late eleventh century. The fine interiors date to the eighteenth century and has notably irregular box pews and fine medieval stained glass

St. Margaret's Church
Walmgate, York, YO1 9TL

St Margerets church is one of York's finest examples of Norman's craft of building fine architechture. It was one used not only for worship but to house props from the nearby Theatre Royal. The doorway itself is thought to have come from St Nicholas's church on Lawrence street, which was destroyed during the seige of York which took place in 1644. Th Church has been recently refurbished after the lottery fund granted a grant to open a Early Music Centre during the millenium celebrations.
