York has many boat trips along the River Ouse which flows through the heart of this history city. Here is a selection of the available cruises by Yorkboat.
Yorkboat Guided River Trips
Yorkboat invite you to relax and see the many sights along the river Ouse with a tipple of you choice from its licensed bar. The tour lasts about one hour and sail daily from 10.30 every day from the 5th of February to late September 2005. Yorkboat first leaves the King's Staith landing at 10.30am, 12.00, 1.40am and 3.00pm. It can also be caught at Lendal Bridge at 10.40am, 12.10pm, 1.50pm and 3.10pm. Throughout the summer months the cruises run additional cruises due to large demand for this popular attraction.
Yorkboat Floodlit Cruise
From the 19th of March to the 30th of October 2005, the Floodlit cruise illuminates York’s famous landmarks on this romantic voyage along with light relaxing music and commentary from the captain. It lasts 75 minutes including a return cruise to Bishopethorpe Palace which is home to the Archbishop Of York.
Yorkboat's Ghost Cruise
Yorkboat's Ghost Cruise tells the folklore of York's haunted history with many a tales told on this one hour cruise. Complete with a costumed storyteller and leaving at 7.00pm every night from the 19th of March to the 31st on October 2005, this tour will guarantee to thrill with it ghostly and humorous tales.
Red Boat.
Red Boat offer a number of self sail motor boats available for hire every day between the 19th of March and the 30th of October from King's Staith Landing Point. You can take in which ever sights along the river Ouse you choose in your own time and can be great fun for all the family. They can take up to eight people at a time. Please note the hirer must be 18 or over.
