York Brewery, based at Toffs Green within the city walls in York, is a new established independent brewery which has become the first brewery to traditionally brew fine ales for over forty years. They have become one of York’s favourite attractions for beer swillers and real ale lovers alike.
As well as being a very popular brewery, York Brewery are also very dedicated to establishing a visitors centre showing the various methods and stages of beer making. The site has excellent facilities with galleries constructed to let you get a birds eye view.
Many award winning brews have been created by York Brewery including the Bronze Medal Award for there 4.2 ABV brew, Yorkshire Terrier. Centurion's Ghost ale, a winter warmer brew dark bitter ale has a very roast malt taste, and at 5.4 ABV, it has a stronger taste very much in liking to Theakston's Old Peculiar beer. Another beer with awards to its name including Champion Award from the Brewing Industry International Awards in 2002 in the dark mild , stout and porter range. Stocking Filler is a seasonal beer just for Christmas with a dark, full bodied ale with a hint of chocolate and spice. Other beers include Stonewall, Guzzler, Royal York and Last Drop Beer. The latter testament to one of the breweries own pub, the Last Drop Inn.

Group Tours
Group tours are especially welcome and can accommodate between ten and sixty people what ever the time of day. Buffets can be arranged.

The ideal venue to accommodate any cause for celebration whether it is a birthday, retirement doo. anniversary or wedding. Prove that you can organise a p**s up in a brewery. They can arrange the entertainments as well as choice of buffets.

Off Sales
The shop is open from 11.00am till 7pm Monday to Saturday with a fine range of award winning bottled beers as well as carry kegs, 34 pint polypins as either 9 or 18 gallon casks with handpulls although they do need 2 days notice.
